This morning (11 September) at around 8:30 a Toyota Fortuner was driving along Kloof Road in Bedfordview when a Palm tree fell onto the vehicle.
Terence Teixeira from the Matrix Road Safety Association arrived on the scene and reported that the driver fortunately did not sustain any injuries. “It was a freak accident. The Ekurhuleni Metro Council employees were felling the dead Palm and it is unclear as to exactly what happened. The Ekurhuleni Metro Police are investigating,” he says.
