It is a simple truth that every great journey begins with at least some form of preparation. As this year starts to come to its joyous finale and we all look forward to a much needed break, so too begins the time to focus on the plans that will help make the journey more enjoyable and a little less stressful.

Whether it be a trip to see the magnificence of a Baobab tree in Limpopo, or one to enjoy the rich culture of our platinum province, North West. Perhaps you are more into relaxing in the quiet farm style agricultural hub of the Free State, or enjoying the abundance of wildlife in the Kruger Park. From the busy hub of Gauteng, the rhythmic sounds of the Zulu-drums in KwaZulu-Natal midlands or rapid rickshaw movements down the Durban beachfront, we are spoilt for choice. There is the riveting wilderness of the Eastern Cape, the ever changing sands in the Karoo, not to mention the miles of beach and spectacular Garden Route forests of the Western Cape. Whichever fabulous South African holiday you have planned, having the peace of mind that the preparation to ensure the safety of you and your loved ones along the way has been taken care of, makes the experience even more pleasurable.
Most journeys require the use of a vehicle and for most of the year they serve to take us simply from “A” to “B”. But the upcoming journey, the one that will give us the chance to de-stress, rebuild, reevaluate and dream again, will be unlike all the rest. It will be our chance to take stock and reflect on what life is really about.
