South Africans are facing unprecedented times with the global COVID-19 pandemic affecting all of us. In light of the national lockdown, we applaud the decisive measures put in place to flatten the curve and we will do our part to help prevent the further spread of the virus.

Security during this time is ever more crucial as crime may increase due to higher unemployment rates and economic insecurity becomes an even bigger reality. We assure you of our ongoing ability to service your vehicle security needs now and long after the pandemic ends.

We can confirm that the Matrix service will continue operating during all levels of lockdown to provide you with peace of mind about your vehicle’s safety. As a provider of essential security services, we assure you that the Matrix 24/7 Emergency Control Room at 0800 111 322 remains open during the lockdown for theft, hi-jacking and emergencies (like roadside assistance for MX3 clients).

For any other queries, please do not call the emergency line or landline numbers. Customer service, product and sales support will continue being delivered remotely or as per the guidelines set out by government. Rather send a message by completing the online form or send an email to customercare@matrix.co.za with your name, vehicle registration, contact number and details of the enquiry.

For queries regarding fitment certificates, vehicle location and unit test requests we encourage you to make use of the MATRIX SMARTPHONE APP. It also lets you select the types of alerts you want to be notified about, check your vehicle’s battery status, request a certificate of installation for your insurance, report a car theft incident and much more. Remember to activate and deactivate GeoLoc Advanced Alert via the Matrix App. The app is available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

While we have put measures in place to ensure business continuity during this period in line with the government’s guidelines, the well-being of our Employees and Customers remains paramount. We have stringent health and safety processes in place. We will continue to monitor the pandemic and government guidelines, and review our position accordingly.
